Lisa Madigan crosses the river for Obama
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is in Missouri today, honing fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama’s pitch to female voters.

Madigan
Madigan will appear at a “Crime and Safety Roundtable” for women and children this afternoon at the Weber Road Library in Affton. Joining her will be U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, County Executive Charlie A. Dooley, and State Rep. Joan Barry.
This evening, Madigan will participate in a similar event in Boone County.
Madigan — daughter of Illinois House Speaker and State Democratic Party Chairman Michael Madigan — is viewed as a possible appointee to the U.S. Senate, should Obama ascend to the White House.
If not, Lisa Madigan may also challenge Gov. Rod Blagojevich in two years.

Uh-oh… another Obama Stormtruther in STL.
“Hello, Joyce and McCulloch? We’re gonna’ need a bigger limousine.”

A mere politician stumping for Obama? What’s wrong, run out of movie stars?
Sure, why not, she meets all the requirements for high political office in America, she’s RELATED to someone. When will Americans get sick of politics being a family business? Pathetic. Maybe she can get a few tips from Russ Carnahan. Maybe stop by and see Lacy Clay. Drive over to Jeff City for lunch with Matt Blunt. Stop by the White House and have a chat with George Bush. Run over to the Senate for tea with Hillary Clinton. Stop by and bring flowers to Ted Kennedy. Run over to the Senate Hearings and get an update on the crisis from Chris Dodd. Then call Richie Daley for a ride home from the airport. Isn’t there one person in Illinois who is more qualifed than her? When are people going to wake up?
What is wrong with you meatheads. This is simply a short article about a politician showing unity with their party, support for their platform, and helping out where they can. When will Americans get sick of politics as a family business? Great question. Personally I was sick of it when Bush Jr. became president only to ignore all common sense, lie to us, manipulate intelligence, overlook other facts, and try to finish what daddy left undone. I’m referring to Iraq of course.
People who voted for Bush twice are so unaware of the facts, that when they are confronted with the truth they can’t admit that they were wrong, they choose to believe the lies, and can’t openly say they supported the worst president in the history of the nation not once, but twice! Talk about pathetic…y’all are like horses with blinders on. Just takes a little tug on the reins from your masters and you head off in a new direction. Next stop…Iran! Giddy Up!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaahhwrggh!!
I voted for Bush twice. You gave me no option. The second most liberal Senator and the Ozone Man. You will notice I mentioned Bush and Blunt. The difference between us is I am willing to stand for what is right, not my party.
Please tell me what it is that was right to stand for. By “ozone man” I suppose you mean Al Gore? Don’t tell me you still deny the facts regarding climate change. Have you had your head in the sand lately? Not even the man you voted for twice is stupid enough to deny that one anymore.
Yes, Al Gore was the Ozone Man. Probably still is.
To jjk:
I’d just like to find out what mlgb was asking: What is it that you find right to “stand for” that keeps you so attached to republican candidates and rhetoric?
RacerX and mlgb, we’re rehashing old stuff here, but don’t you find it odd that there are studies out there now that we actually may be heading to a cool period and not the hell on earth scenario that your mega-carbon footprint user, Algore, has painted these last few years? MLGB, check into how much money Algore has made off of his dire predictions.
As for Bush lying, been there and done that..and still nothing has been proven that he lied. Clinton, Albright, Clinton, Kerry, Saddam’s generals, various intelligence agencies all over the world, etc. all believed Hussein had WMDs and was a threat. Saddam even told his American interrogator that he purposefully had everyone convinced that he had WMDs.
Now, why do we stick with our Republican candidates? Sadly, McCain is the best we’ve got right now but most of us would probably agree that we would rather have a true Republican to vote for. He is, however, far better than your far left, liberal Democrat Obama for this country. With McCain, he will cross the aisle to work with the Democrats…as he has proven to have done that in the past. Obama has crossed the aisle 2% of the time..so it’s doubtful you’ll see any bipartisan effort there. Add on his pals Pelosi and Reid, and you have the makings for a socialist agenda the likes this country has never seen or can see if they look at San Francisco. Abortion on demand, skyrocketing entitlement programs, high taxes on capital gains (thus increasing prices and cutting wages), surrender in Iraq, lower test scores for children (due to Obama’s coziness with the NEA..a failing organization since the 60’s), etc. If you remember the Carter years, then you better prepare yourself…the Obama years will be far worse than those years.
