Mizzou rally caps busy day for candidates, state
Barack Obama will headline a 9:30 rally tonight on the Mizzou campus, making him the third member of the major party tickets to speak in Missouri today.
Some states don’t get that type of attention the entire election cycle — Missouri is getting it in 14 hours.
This morning, Sarah Palin appeared in Cape Girardeau, while Joe Biden was at Fox High in Arnold. Both veep contenders later went to another key swing state, Pennsylvania, where, around Philadelphia at least, the candidates were second fiddle to the new World Series champs.
Obama, meanwhile, began the day in Sarasota, Fla., then spoke in Virginia Beach, Va. He’ll be back in Missouri on Saturday, when the Democratic nominee and wife Michelle speak at a high school stadium in Springfield.

On Saturday, Obama is in Springfield, Mo . the center of GOP power in the state. Can he convert any of the residents there? That would be interesting!
The latest media outrage is the LA Times’s refusal, a mere week before the election, to show the video of Obama toasting the welfare of and commenting on Yasser Arafat’s media spokesman, Rashid Khalidi, at a party.
Also at that party apparently was Bill Ayers(the 60’s radical who bombed the Pentagon) who was “just a guy in the neighborhood”. Amazing isn’t it how he just keeps turning up wherever Obama is.
And note there’s always an excuse Obama offers for the relationship he has with a radical. This is now about the 4th or 5th radical alliance Obama has had for which he has offered up an excuse. And people actually think this guy’s a centrist and should be President?
Also at the party were speakers who apparently gave various anti Israel rants and harangues.
Rather than let the public decide what the video shows, the LA Times, in Pravda like fashion, tries to filter what selected info it believes is relevant to the public.
The Times not only admits it has the video but offers the tepid defense “we promised our source we won’t release the video”(saying essentially we’ll rather just spin what’s on the video through our media filter so it doesn’t damage Barack Obama).
So if the Times had obtained the Watergate Tapes from a source who said “please keep the tape confidential”, the Times, according to this rationale, would have done so?
This is a national outrage. Don’t take the chance on Obama the radical, vote McCain.

‘This is a national outrage. Don’t take the chance on Obama the radical, vote McCain.”
.
My memory is that LA Times wrote about or printed the transcript of a party last spring.
Where was the outrage then?
Just the latest phony hyped outrage by the wacko worng.
.
My memory is that the LA Times says they will not release a tape because they told their source they wouldn’t
.
This is no doubt just as big an issue as Joe Biden and the “$150K middle class” yesterday, namely it is absolutely nothing. Just more whining from the wacko wrong.
.
Unbelievable the sleaze and character assignation from the wacko wrong. Great that the mainstream media doesn’t cow to the pressure. What the wackos want is their own National Enquirer.
.
going down Tuesday wackos, you’re team is going down

Some of you folks like ”Liberty11” need to get a grip. Khalidi was not a PLO spokesperson, Obama has consistently disagreed with him on Israel, and they were, horror of horrors, at the same party 5 years ago. I notice you conveniently don’t mention McCain’s association with a Republican group that actually funded Khalidi’s organization. But frankly, the kinds of loose connections with Khalidi that existed for both McCain and Obama don’t matter, and tell us nothing about what McCain and Obama think. I’ve been to lots of parties with right-wing Republicans, but that doesn’t make me into one. Some of you folks, including, sadly, the candidates you support, McCain and Palin, will bring up anything to try to get the discussion off the economy and the disaster consequences of Bush/McCain economic policy.

Here is a good article on Khalidi and his relationship with the PLO:

John, taxing businesses will be bad for the economy…or do you believe otherwise?
$250,000 $200,000 $150,000
Thanks to Obama and Biden, I’m getting closer and closer to being considered rich. Ah..what to do with all my money?!
Any and All Obama Supports,
What has Sen. Obama DONE so far to show us the kind of President he will be? I do not want the talking points from the party. I want to know what you think he has accomplished so far in his life that leads you to believe in him.
He has never lead anything according to his resume’. His advisory circle include Franklin Raines (former head of Fannie), J Wright (his former pastor that hates the US and all that it stands for), Bill Ayres (admitted domestic terrorist and board member of a far left educational fund that has spent over $50 Million dollars on Chicago area public school and they are still failing).
Claire is his whipping girl and while she was endorsing Judy Baker, she said that you can tell a lot about the type of congresswomen she would be by the company that she keeps and has kept in the past. I would then assume that we can say the same about potential President Obama?
Sen. Obama continues to say what he is going to do when he becomes President. In 20004 he campaigned on giving the middle class a tax break. I am middle class and have yet to see the bill that he has introduced to give me or anyone else a tax break. His congressional record is easy to see, as it has very little on it, shows he has voted 94 times to increase taxes. Never once has he voted to lower any taxes on anyone.
I hope that a tiger can change his stripes as his past stripes have shown one thing and his talking points indicate something else.
