Mizzou rally caps busy day for candidates, state

Obama in Florida, Palin in Cape Girardeau and Biden in Arnold

Barack Obama will headline a 9:30 rally tonight on the Mizzou campus, making him the third member of the major party tickets to speak in Missouri today.

Some states don’t get that type of attention the entire election cycle — Missouri is getting it in 14 hours.

This morning, Sarah Palin appeared in Cape Girardeau, while Joe Biden was at Fox High in Arnold. Both veep contenders later went to another key swing state, Pennsylvania, where, around Philadelphia at least, the candidates were second fiddle to the new World Series champs.

Obama, meanwhile, began the day in Sarasota, Fla., then spoke in Virginia Beach, Va. He’ll be back in Missouri on Saturday, when the Democratic nominee and wife Michelle speak at a high school stadium in Springfield.
