Democrats are far from united behind Chris Koster’s candidacy for Attorney General and this site documents many of the reasons why. Take a few minutes and research the real Chris Koster before casting your vote this November.
Why haven’t I heard more about the guilty verdict in Trooper Gate? To my understanding Republicans and Democrats agreed that Governor Palin operated improperly, so the usual claims of a ‘democrat led witch hunt’ do not really satisfy me. She is a candidate for VP, she is giving speeches about character and judgment and from what I can tell she has neither. This is a big deal.
Unless this web sight shows a bunch of whiners crying like babies because their candidate lost in the primary, I will use those couple of minutes doing something else. Maybe I will research who bought Gibbons with a $1.1 million contribution.
It is time that Harris and Donnelly and thier supporters begin supporting the candidate of the Democratic Party.
REAL Democrats support Chris Koster.
I’d like to discuss McCain’s involvement with the Project for a New American Century, (PNAC), which conceived of the idea of pre-emptive strike and pushed for unilateral action against Iraq before Bush was elected. I’d also like to discuss the Palins and their involvement with the Alaskan Independence Party, (AIP), from 1995 to 2000.
John McCain says he “will take care of” the returning solidiers who need medical assistance and treatment.
In 2009, the VA will be treating more than 300,000 sick and injured servicemen and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, a 14 percent increase over last year. Yet Bush has reduced the budget for prosthetic research by 8 percent and rehabilitation research by 7 percent. Construction for new VA medical facilities was slashed by 44 percent and extended care facilities had around 49 percent budget cut. Not to mention the backlog of veterans’ claims: 0ver 800,000 vets are still waiting for a decision from the VA.
Can any republican out there tell me what McCain will do differently than Bush on this topic? His words in the debates and on the campaign trail sound like empty promises. I doubt he is even aware of the statistics I presented in the last paragraph.
Both McCain and Obama are going to close Guantanamo prison, but only Obama has expresses the need to restore habeas corpus. He gets my vote for having a better grasp of this concept and its importance to our system of justice. He gets my vote for thinking harder about the issues and having a plan of action. I agree with Lazarus on the VA issue too… McCain just doesn’t know the facts. And Palin wouldn’t know a fact if it slapped her upside the head twice.
Sam Page is running out of time and money in the Lt. Governor’s race. Even though the Post Dispatch has always been fair to Dr. Page and even endorsed him in the past, Page continues to dispute and deny the results of the latest St. Louis Post Dispatch / KMOV poll which shows Page 16 points behind incumbent Peter Kinder. Page has now distributed his own “poll” to campaign friendly media outlets/blogs or anyone who will listen, claiming a far closer Lt. Gov. race. Prepare to have a lot more time to spend with your patients, Dr. Page.
Can the Post-Dispatch to stop using the NY Times as source material?
Need proof of NY Times’ bias … from what should be a simple photo op:
“[W]hen Palin came out onto the Wachovia Center ice Saturday night — greeted by resounding (almost deafening) boos from the Flyers crowd — the two hockey players who had no choice but to appear with her in that photo op were turned into props in a political campaign.”
That’s from the first version; it has since been updated (link below w/video):
http://slapshot.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/11/a-misplaced-hockey-mom-moment/?scp=4&sq=palin%20philadelphia%20flyers&st=cse
“…resounding (almost deafening) boos… hockey players in a photo op used
as props…?
btw, Philly fans will boo Santa Claus — it’s a part of their DNA. Hockey players (among the most gracious of all pro athletes) used as props… Phew!
It’s a daily occurance to see P-D using an opinion piece from NYT referenced as fact. Just say no — let’s see a NYT-free zone.

I was going to write the politicos at the mothership, but this may save me the trouble; Jo, you’re welcome to confirm your interest or I can email the staff or someone: someone sent me a sample ballot from I think, stcharles county; it had all the republicans listed first; it would be like an absentee ballot, but principle would apply to machines, too? how is it determined which party’s candidates listed first on ballots? different different counties? studies show 2% advantage even in race like president where candidates well known; that’s one of ways republicans allegedly stole Ohio last time; republican sec of state (sherrod brown?) didnt rotate names as required by law in some key precincts. thanks anyone who knows or would like to find out, or I can.
In answer to Bill Haas:
In Missouri, the party of the incumbent governor is listed first on the ballot.
As a result, in each contest on the Nov. 4 ballot, the Republican will be listed first.
You’re welcome.
