Palin addresses supporters today outside a Bass Prop Shop in Springfield

The word from the Springfield News-Leader is that an overflow crowd of more than 20,000 packed the parking lot in front of the Bass Pro Shop for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

As we get more details on her rally, we’ll add them here.

Incredible!!!

This really has to chafe Olbermann and Mathews at Communist-NBC cable. According to them and the other elitists, no one likes Palin.

Guess these huge numbers prove different.

How much did the RNC spend on her & her family at Bass Pro?

You are right Justin, this must bother people like Olbermann. But if my math is correct, it probably bothers them 1/5 as much as it bothered fox news when Obama had over 100,000 in St. Louis. Or maybe 1/4 as much when Obama had 75,000 in KC.

Probably somewhere south of the $5M the DNC spent on The Chosen One’s one night only Greek spectacle stage.

100,000 for Obama was the high figure and he had a nice sunny day.

Obama was giving away free sandwiches on a sunny Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, of course you can get 100,000 people to show especially in St. Louis.

Dolly Parton draws 2 million red-necks a year….

Sarah must have played the fidddle in the Miss Wallisa talent show and finished third in the cow-chip throwing contest…Free pie and funnel cakes.

“How much did the RNC spend on her & her family at Bass Pro?”

A heck of lot less than the DNC spent on the fascist iconography for Obama’s instantly forgettable acceptance speech at the Barackopolis.

************************

“In its FEC filing, the host committee said it incurred $53.67 million in operating expenses and spent $53.86 million.

Most of that money went to pay expenses of the Democratic National Convention Committee, the party organization that staged the DNC. Nine percent of the host committee’s money went to pay its own expenses, which included salaries, marketing and staging various events off the convention grounds.

Convention expenses paid by the committee included $14.1 million for construction costs, including the stage and lighting, at the Pepsi Center and $5.3 million at Invesco Field.”

***********************************

With that kind of money you could fill the entire Palin household’s closets 30 times over.

Keep it up comrade. Mocking the very people your party claims to champion is a sure ticket to the Whitehouse!

BTW, have they let Joe (Rhetorical Flourish!) Biden out of the doghouse yet? He’s McCain’s best weapon.

That’s a nice shot of Governor Palin juxtaposed with the Springfield ‘Bass Pro Shop.’

Speaking of places of business, at the Vice-Presidential debate earlier this month, Senator Joe Biden talked about how he spends time at Kate’s Restaurant in Scranton, Pennsylvania where he gets to know how ‘regular folks’ live.

It turns out Kate’s restaurant closed in 1986….

I’m sure Eric Mink and the Post-Dispatch will get around and inform us of that discrepancy, don’t you think?…I guess they’re just very busy right now…
