Pictures of the autographed WashU basketballs
Finally, the pictures you’ve all been waiting for. (OK, maybe not, but humor me.) Yesterday, I posted an item about the WashU tradition of having presidential candidates sign basketballs before the debates. At last week’s vice presidential debate, the school again left out basketballs for Palin and Biden to sign.
Biden signed one — as you can see in the picture below. But two of Palin’s daughters — Willow and Piper — signed the other.
Finally, I have pasted below a pictures of the dry-erase board with the slogans, drawings, squiggles, etc. of Joe Biden’s grandchildren. Apparently they watched the debate from backstage and made this before, during, or sometime after the debate. (These pictures, by the way, are courtesy of Mark Edwards, the WashU men’s basketball coach.)

Ye Gods! Can’t you drop this inane and absurd topic? How many freaking times do you have make the chicken scratchings of the candidates’ children and grandchildren a topic of discussion in a political blog? Gimme a break! Why is this news? Why do you invite comments from the public on such things? Are you professional journalists or did you get your degree from K-Freaking-Mart?
