Voting-rights coalition to feature NAACP, unions, churches

  The local NAACP will host a panel discussion Tuesday that will focus on voting-rights issues and potential voting problems that a coalition of various groups fears will occur on Election Day.

The session will be held at 11 a.m. at the NAACP Conference Arena, 625 N Euclid Ave.

Those expected to participate include:

Claude Brown, St. Louis NAACP President

Rev. Tommie Pierson of the Greater St. Mark Family Church, president of General Baptist Convention

Lew Moye, president of the St. Louis Coalition of Black Trade Unions

Keith Richards, president of the A. Phillip Randolph Institute.
