Gov.-elect Jay Nixon is making sure some Missouri politicians who lost election efforts in November (and August) are keeping busy.

Today, Nixon announced his full transition staff and various transition deputy directors that will help him fill Cabinet positions and prepare to take over for Gov. Matt Blunt.

The big three names are all outgoing Democratic state representatives: Judy Baker of Columbia, who lost the 9th District congressional race to Blaine Luetkemeyer; and Margaret Donnelly and Jeff Harris, who lost the Democratic attorney general primary to Attorney general-elect Chris Koster.

Other deputy transition directors include Susan McCollum of St. Louis, who will lead recruitment efforts; Dr. Jon Hagler, Garry Kemp, Daniel Burkhardt and the previously announced Wayne Goode, a former state senator.

And he was doing so well until he picked three people rejected by the voters for their respective posts.

Did Margaret Donnelly or Jeff Harris ever publicly or even privately endorse Chris Koster? Wonder how Koster feels about Nixon cozying up to these two? I am still steamed that third-place loser Harris was the spoiler who cost Donnelly the Democratic AG nomination she so narrowly lost to Koster. Will Harris and Donnelly be working in the same cubicle or even the same city? Ouch!

Hey I never thought of that angle. Wouldn’t be great if Harris had to report to Donnelly??

Wow!! A team of losers. Missourians have already said they do not want them, even with the Nixon banner covering their behinds.

I guess Mel Carnahan shouldn’t have picked Mike Wolfe to be on the supreme court because he too was rejected by the voters. Twice.

A lot of folks lose elections. Besides Wolfe, Scott Lakin, Gracia Backer and numerous others lost and got appointed to various positions.

I don’t know whether there three will be good but they shouldn’t be disqualified just because they lost an election.

Especially to a low life like Koster.

Didn’t (loser) John Ashcroft get a great big Federal promotion after Missourians rejected him?

I know Mike Wolff.

Mike Wolff is a friend of mine.

Jeff Harris is no Mike Wolff.

Amen Moira!

Ashcroft didn’t lose, he chose not to legally win a decision against a dead man who by our state constitution could not be elected. Therefore Ashcroft was a winner both figuratively at the polls and for taking the high ground. Something D Walker knows nothing about.

Jeff Harris and Mike Wolfe are two of the finest public servants Missouri has ever had.

Jeff Harris’ and Mike Wolfe’s names should not be uttered in the same breath. Harris is a whiny loser.
