As we mentioned earlier, Gov. Matt Blunt was in Miami this week, taking part in what figures to be his final visit to the Republican Governors Association’s annual conference.

And, according to one report, Blunt’s fellow GOP state leaders wanted him to remember the trip with a bang.

MSNBC’s First Read blog reports that Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue presented Blunt with a “parting gift” — a shotgun.

“I’m not nearly the shot Sonny Perdue is,” Blunt said, according to MSNBC. “I’ll always remember the RGA, when I have the opportunity to see it and use it.”

Enough of this ridiculous B.S. about our lame duck Governor! What has the Post found in the emails he just turned over??

Is there anything there or have you all been lying to us this whole time about it?

If you Democrats don’t catch him with anything in this email fiasco Matt Blunt will be back in four years to run against your boy Nixon.

You heard it here first. This case looks flimsier and flimsier by the day and the Post is actually helping Blunt by promoting his national appearances.

Don’t get too comfortable Jay. Matty will be back for office in a flash!

Of course the RGA would laud him. After all, he accomplished everything he wanted in three short years.

Isn’t that why he decided not to run, not the e-mail fiasco?

BTW, no one promised anything would be in those e-mails. How would they know–Blunt took almost over a year to release them!

And by then Jay will have things in such a mess that we will need Matt to clean it up again.

Blunt’s problems go WAY BEYOND the email scandal. Blunt & Co. operated with no moral boundaries. Their problems are big, which is why he stepped down. He won’t be back, ever. Too many lawsuits, federal complaints, and highway patrol investigations of his managers and supervisors. He actually had Bob Holden-appointed managers instructing staff on how to take revenge on each other! In addition, he also empowered one top executive to hold booze/porn parties at his house where numerous extramarital affairs occured, and then this same executive went around firing people! The only place Blunt should be working is at a cemetary, along with all of his skeletons. He ruined his career and reputation by being the worst governor in Missouri history, a Judy Moriarity clone. Even looking at the photograph of him with Palin, he looks like an evildoer, with that deceptive, phony grin. I don’t wish him bad luck, but I sure hope he learns ethics, morals, and how to be a father. Otherwise, most of us here in Jeff City see prison in his future.

jcbell - I would be interested in names and proof of your accusations. Give us your name and tell us how you know all of this. I think that is only fair to share your sources. Be a man or woman and come forth with what you know and how.

I would have to agree with the theme of the blog. Governor Blunt is saying goodbye to his colleagues. Even dispite the rumors about his personal life, his term in office has been less than stellar. The Republican cheerleaders can prop him up as much as they want. They may want to take a ride through Greene County and fight back the Democrat party competition that is gaining strength.
