As the New York Times notes, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin did something today that she never did while running for vice-president — take questions from reporters.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Palin in Miami today was Gov. Matt Blunt, who is soaking up what figures to be his last appearance at a Republican Governors Association’s conference.

“Republican governors are a unique team,”Palin told the press.

Yes they are a unique team. Shortly, once Missouri understands why Baby Blunt isn’t running for re-election, Palin will be regretting this photo op with the little creep.

First, I doubt it’s his last appearance - I have a good feeling Blunt will be back in MO politics soon. Second, a typically tasteless comment, trainingpro4u. But what do you expect. I guess you’re a Bob Holden fan, then - you must be upset that Blunt turned around the mess Holden made and turned MO into one of the few states in the nation that is actually running a budget surplus. Of course, you offer no backup for your characterization of Blunt, so I guess you’re just bitter? That must be it.

Trainingpro4u - Which governor left the state with a multi-million dollar SURPLUS in the budget? According to the Branson Agent, “Gov. Matt Blunt’s strong, conservative fiscal management of the state budget has resulted in an $833 million surplus, the third surplus in a row under his leadership.” Your comment is ignorant.

I am happy that Blunt is soon gone and would love to see Caribou Barbie Palin stay up with the Northern lights. Maybe she could get Alaska to secede from the Union and become Queen.

I hate to see you guys rely on faulty reporting by the New York Times - you are quite capable of your own. Gov Palin did take questions from reporters several times over the last few weeks of the campaign - something that none of the other three candidates were willing to do. I guess if you guys in the press want to get snippy that she did it on tarmacs and in places you have the right to do so, but you’d still be wrong that she didn’t take questions from reporters.

Hey Jake! Why don’t you do something that a Post Dispatch reporter has never done during this campaign — dig up the documentation to determine if Obama is eligible for the Presidency.

I don’t mean this in a mean way, but it struck me as funny that this picture looks like an awkward date between a cougar and her prey.

Matt Blunt is the anti-Palin.

While she was up in Alaska exposing corruption in her own party and sporting approval ratings of 90%, Blunt was down in Missouri perfecting the good ole’ boys club while making himself, his family, and his buddies rich at the benefit of the taxpayers.

Also sporting record low levels of approval ratings in our state, even lower than Holden………is that possible?

If Palin was governor of Missouri she would be ridding our state of the political pariahs like Blunt and his despicable gang.

It’s all about the GOP governors for reform! I’m going with Jindal-Palin ‘12 with Blunt as RNC chairman — Each one of them has brought smart, conservative reform to their states and that’s what we need in 2012!

Oh my! You people saying that Gov. Blunt made himself ‘rich’ while in office need to think about the fact that he never got out of the Naval Reserve because he could use the extra cash from that weekend warrior position. Gee, half the people in his cabinet made more money than he did while in office…remember the Gov. office pay is dictated by MO statute.
