The Missouri office of the National Alliance on Mental Illness report that they’ve been alerted by the Secretary of State’s office that robo-calls “are going out to disabled persons on Medicaid indicated they will have their Medicaid ‘taken away’ if they vote for Obama.”

State alliance executive director Cindi Keele reported in an e-mail that her group became aware of the calls when it received a call from an Eldon, Mo. woman. “She was upset by a call she received and called to ask us about it,” Keele wrote.

“We reported this to the Secretary of State’s office and asked Eldon area radio stations to help reassure people. I later learned this call is going out statewide….”

The attorney general’s office and the Missouri Ethics Commission also has been alerted, she said.
