Doug Moore reports from Affton:

At Grasso Plaza, in one of Barack Obama’s 150 volunteer offices across the state, canvassers were making their last pitch to voters to get to the polls.

“Today it’s no longer the question of whom you’re voting for, but have you voted yet,” said volunteer Laura Derickson.
The volunteers at Grasso Plaza are responsible for Gravois Township and are making three attempts at every household before the polls close at 7.

“We’re making sure that they voted, they know where they need to vote and if they have a ride to the polls,” Derickson said.

Unlike many campaigns, volunteers are not being asked to shuttle voters to the polls. Instead, anyone who calls the campaign office needing a ride is given a number to call for a free ride.

When you have the most expensive campaign in history, I guess even free cab rides are possible. Amazing!
