The line of voters runs out the door at Dellwood Rec Complex

Clearly, this election will be remembered for heavy voter turnout. It’s evident by the long waits just about everywhere.

We’re just past 1 o’clock, but we’re starting to get some numbers too.

The P-D’s own Kavita Kumar reports that at Tower Grove Baptist Church, poll workers said that by about 12:30, half of the 1,600 registered voters in the precinct had voted. This with more than seven hours to go.

Same was true at the Wohl Center at Washington University, which has 1,000 roughly 2,000 registered voters.
