St. Louis Post-Dispatch
At Jennings High School, the poll lines started to get longer just before 4 p.m., notes P-D reporter Steve Giegerich.
It was thwarting voters who tried voting in the morning but had to leave.
David Vincent was back this afternoon after determining this morning they couldn’t vote and get to work on time.
The morning line stretched nearly a block. The wait approached 90-plus minutes.
“People were singing and people were laughing out loud. The president of the school board brought out chairs ,” said Lindsey, 56, ofJennings, who arrived at the school at 5:10am.
“It’s been a community here,” said Jonathan Mikhalersky, 27, a Washington University law student, also an Obama observer.
