Incoming state rep. Jones gets into swing with jazz fundraiser

Tishaura O. Jones, a Democrat elected this month for a State House seat representing St. Louis, will hold a “jazz” fundraiser tonight in the city’s Loft District.
The “Nite of Jazz” event at 400 N. Washington Avenue encourages donation levels of “musician” ($25), “vocalist” ($250), “conductor” ($500), and “composer” ($1,000.)
Jones is the daughter of former city comptroller Virvus Jones. She’s taking over the seat currently occupied by Robin Wright-Jones, (no relation) who is moving onto the State Senate.
