Local members of MoveOn, that pro-Democratic, pro-progressive group that campaigned hard for now-President-elect Barack Obama is holding a meeting/celebration Thursday night in St. Louis County.

The event is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Natural Bridge & Lucas and Hunt.

Organizers say in an e-mail that the gathering is “to kick off a huge new campaign to help Barack pass a bold, progressive agenda. And we’ll celebrate our win with good food and fun people!”

When you’re a victor, the partying never ends.

Nice to see they weren’t described again as non-partisan.

Obama said he’d “reach across the aisle” and include people from across the political spectrum in his administration. Now that we’re seeing this was another lie, like “I’ll accept public financing if my opponent does” the moveon.org folks do indeed have something to celebrate.

Know nothing Nicky. Stop the lies! You LOST! McCain didn’t take public financing! McCain committed fraud by not taking, then saying he was taking but using the prospect of future public financing to get more money, THEN opting out, again! McCain was able, after securing the loans on false collateral, to then raise as much as he wanted for use in the general along with the money from taxpayers.

Wow….if I only could have a buck for every “Che” Shirt and hipster beret that will be seen at that socialist soiree.

Another day, another lie from Tim Hogan. According to the New York Times:

“Mr. McCain has not opted out, and will get $84 million in public money after his party’s convention in early September.”

The same information is in the Wikipedia article about McCain, as well as the Wikipedia article about “Campaign finance in the United States” in the “Public Financing of Campaigns section.” So, either Tim Hogan is lying, or Wikipedia and all the major media are wrong. I’ll leave our readers to decide.

The perpetual campaign continues. Something the GOP can and should learn from.

No honeymoon, don’t let up, fight them every step of the way. Obama should not be allowed one day of peace… no co-operation none!

Is MoveOn going to celebrate Clinton’s third term? I’m curious as to what is “new” with this bi-racial president-elect. Perhaps it’s just the man himself since most of who he is appointing are old Clinton cronies.
