Nixon opens job site for those seeking to join administration

With all of this dour talk about the economy and unemployment rate, we know at least one office that’s hiring: Gov. elect Jay Nixon, who his new accepting applications to join his new administration.

Nixon’s transition office has set up a website for individuals seeking a job in the new administration, or looking for a spot on a state board.

“We need the best and brightest minds across Missouri,” Nixon said in a statement.

Applicants can chose from over a dozen departments — from agriculture to transportation — and locations in Springfield, Kansas City, St. Louis or Jefferson City.

I find this highly refreshing, instead of past pols who just hired their buddies and insiders. Whether or not anyone from the outside actually gets hired is yet to be seen.

Voted for Nixon and I think he will do a good job. But Blunt said the same thing.
