On Blunt appointments, no last-minute shockers — yet

Blunt

Gov. Matt Blunt made a round of appointments this week, among the last that he’ll make as his term comes to close.

But don’t look for any shockers here — just yet, anyway. The board and commission vacancies that Blunt filled on Tuesday are about as tame as it gets.

Russell K. Mason, chief of the Central County Fire Protection District in St. Peters, joins the 911 Service Advisory Committee. Bob Bess, the former mayor of Crestwood, was named to a small business regulatory board.

Kenneth E. Meyer, a major Missouri State booster from Blunt’s hometown of Springfield, was tapped for the state Wine and and Grape board.

Will that be all for the lame duck governor — or will he make more appointments before the moving vans pull up?

he needs to make an appointment with Job Service to see what type of work he’s actually qualified for…I see him as a shift supervisor at Circuit City…NOT a store manager…since that requires some actual “people” skills.

If there were any justice in the world, he’d be forced to do some sort of low-paying job helping the homeless.

Bye Bye, baby blunt–don’t let the door hit you in the ***.

“blue chip” - Speaking of “people skills,” you should work on controlling your hate, anger and frustration so that one day you might get that Circuit City job that you so resentfully project on Gov. Blunt.

And why did you choose Circuit City? Kind of ironic that they’re filing for bankruptcy and while your governor has led Missouri to 4 years of unprecedented surplus. I bet that Circuit City — or any other nearby state for the matter — would love to have the job creation, low overhead costs (reduced waste), increased revenue and budget surplus that Gov. Blunt has given Missouri.
