Sarah Palin: “Mine, baby, mine!”

Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is getting quite a reception from a crowd of several thousand at the state Capitol. The state patrol is putting the crowd at 17,000; the GOP is estimating 20,000.

In speaking of energy policy, Palin said: “There is more coal in this free country than there is oil in all of Saudi Arabia.”

She’s repeating most of the now-famous lines of the campaign: Joe the Plumber, Drill, Baby, Drill, and adding a few more. Speaking of coal, she said, “Mine, Baby Mine.”

And, of course, the main reason she’s here, to get GOP voters to the polls: “Vote, Baby, Vote,” she said.

“Mine, Baby Mine.”

Just what does she think is hers?

Margo, you’re a hateful person. What’s the difference between her comments (agreeably wrong) and Obama’s support and supposed celebration of Khalidi?

Your diatribe and incendiary comments show you to be an uneducated, pitiful person. Stick to facts. You were correct about Palin’s comments about abortion-clinic bombers not necessarily being terrorists…but throwing out words like “threesome” and “XXX” movies bring you down a few notches on the credibility scale.

RHarnack,

She wasn’t saying mine as in the possesive. She was saying it as in the mine that would be dug into the earth to retrive our mineral deposits.

I really…..REALLY hope you were being sarcastic.

RHarnack apparently doesn’t know that you DRILL for oil and MINE for coal. Typical of an average Obama supporter.

by baby, by, see you next time you decided to make a run for the top job. Perhaps by then you will develpe some better lines, some intelligent ones would work better I think. Meantime enjoy the frozen north while its still frozen and stay away from those folks who want to break away from the good old USA and form their own country, and please quit encouraging them. It might help you the next time around.

China has more coal than anyone, but it’s tough to breathe over there sometimes. Solving this country’s problems now appears to be all about slogans that can incite a crowd without anyone having to think–”drill, baby, drill” or “mine, baby, mine.” Is Sarah cute, or what?

Hey Tom, we currently have the techonogy to utilized coal and oil for our energy consuption. We also have coal and oil within our country that can be mined and drilled. What is so wrong with using our resources that we have, lessen the dependence on other countries, and work like hell to come up with newer technologies that don’t rely on fossil fuels for all of our energy?
