Another recount: Schneider seeks new tally in House race
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Schneider
Joan Barry isn’t the only legislative candidate seeking a recount.
As we mentioned earlier, St. Charles County State Rep. Vicki Schneider — who lost her bid for re-election by just 74 votes — is also seeking a new tally.
The O’Fallon Republican was unseated by Democrat Kenny Biermann, a member of the Orchard Farm School Board.
Biermann netted 50.2 percent of the roughly 22,000 votes cast. Because Schneider lost by less than one percent, she is, under state law, entitled to request a recount, which she did earlier today.

That is about how many votes she won her first term by originally.
First line of the article: “Joan Barry isn’t the only seeking a recount.”
Did the paper lay off the proof reader and then hire illegal aliens to write for them?
I repeat from an earlier post, why? Schneider didn’t even challenge any provisional votes. Other than it doesn’t cost her anything but costs all of us taxpayers to have the recount it can only be a vanity thing. Of course it is in keeping with why she lost by 74 votes, spending taxpayer money on travel. Now she is spending taxpayer money on useless recounts.
The number of votes she lost by may increase or decrease but when the dust settles, she will still be a “former” representative.
You’ve got be kidding? Look at the other articles talking about the hundreds of millions of dollars our state is in the hole because of the economy and Vicki wants taxpayers to pony up to satisfy her ego. Get a life.
