House Democrats prepare for 2010
Talboy
Just when you thought the election hoopla was over, House Democrats have begun preparing for the next one.
Minority Leader Paul LeVota, D-Independence, announced today that he has appointed Rep. Mike Talboy, D-Kansas City, as chairman of the House Democratic Campaign Committee.
“The 2010 election has already begun,” LeVota said. “Rep. Talboy has the political background and personal commitment that it takes to lead the HDCC and ensure continued success.”
The committee is trying to elect enough Democrats to regain control of the 163-member House. Democrats picked up three seats last month but Republicans control the chamber, 89-74.
Talboy, a lawyer, practices at Shugart, Thompson & Kilroy in Kansas City. He replaces the outgoing House campaign chair, Rep. Rachel Storch, D-St. Louis.

It is very unfortunate that Paul LeVota and state Representatives without general election contests didn’t do more to ensure that our party took the house as a part of the state-wide sweep. If those reps. without contests had raised just a little, it could have meant a lot to candidates in hard-fought, but lost races.
There isn’t a bigger back stabber than Talboy. Beware.
Good choice. Hard worker who has helped a lot of candidates the past few elections.
Name one candidate he has helped. All he has done is lose elections.
Talboy is a snake.
Talboy will have about as much success as Jeff Smith did.
How about working on the issues and figuring out how the budget is going to be balanced instead of the 2010 election?
Good choice with Talboy. He was the one guy the Repubs din’t want, that says enough to me.
Obviously he won at least 2 of his own. I guess Montee and Claire were also losses he helped with. Come on now. And apple, you are right he is exactly what the Republicans did not want.
