A renowned local fertility specialist has joined the list of local donors opening up their wallets for Barack Obama’s inaugural party next month.

Dr.  Sherman Silber — whose work on ovary transplants has earned him national acclaim — has donated $25,000 to the president-elect’s Inaugural Committee, according to records release by the Obama camp.

Silber, of Frontenac, runs the Infertility Center of St. Louis, which is based at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Others St. Louis Obama supporters who have donated to the inaugural fund include beverage distributor Todd Epsten, a member of the city’s police board, David Steward, founder of Wordwide Technology in Maryland Heights, Clayco executive Bob Clark, and Madison County litigator Jeff Cooper.

What a fertile imagination!

Hope he doesn’t count the eggs before they are hatched.

I guess we know which medical specialties are making way too much money. I am sure the healthcare reform police will be checking this very carefully.

Didn’t Obama raise almost $1 billion? Why on earth does he need help with a party?

The President-Elect should be paying Dr. Silber for that kind of pro-life cred, but instead he gets a huge donation to his own inaugural celebration. Is there anything this guy can’t turn to gold? Obama ‘12!
