Slay draws Libertarian challenger — but is he eligible?
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Robb E. Cunningham, a frequent candidate on the local Libertarian ticket, has signed up for another race — this time taking on Mayor Francis Slay in St. Louis.
But Cunningham, who filed on Wednesday, may not meet the residency requirements to run.
When Cunningham ran for Congress in 2006, he listed his address as a home in St. Ann in St. Louis County. This year, when he again challenged U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay, he listed his address as a post office box, also in St. Ann.
The city charter requires that candidates for mayor live in the city for five years preceding the vote.

I know Robb Cunningham from debates and appearances during the congressional races this year; he’s a nice guy and a good muscician; but what’s up with listing a post office address for running for congress? probably not legal; I listed a mailing address and street address cause I have both; wouldnt it have been nice if media had noticed and questioned him on it then?
When is Bill Haas going to enter the race for mayor?
Cunningham ought to use the smoking ban issue the way Libertarians hammered Odenwald in St. Louis County a couple years ago. It’s a natural cause for Libertarians. Only 24.5 percent of St. Louis City residents favor a smoking ban like the one in Illinois.

I sort of had my heart set on being a Congressperson; being mayor not the same appeal anymore; not even sure I have the $1000; sort of spend my disposable/discretion income/savings on my congressional - and then some; will be paying off for some time. I’d consider it if no one else filed. I hear Irene is going to; I like her, think she got a bad hit on the redistricting/I have to go to the bathroom thing; not much impressed with her as a candidate, though; I guess I shouldnt talk; dont believe the stories that she got in the race last time just to make sure no viable candidate got traction. Filing for schoolboard Tuesday though; just cause I wanted to be a congressman, doesnt mean god didnt have a better plan. Wish her and mine were the same once in a while, though; good luck with that. and runbillrun - catchy name - and website.
looks like Slay’s work, though, or one of his; or Irene’s. Why else the pseudonym?
