Bond: Adversaries kept me nimble, media kept me humble

Sen. Kit Bond gave his retirement announcement to a packed General Assembly today, thanking his “adversaries for keeping me nimble, and the media for keeping me humble.”
“In 1972, I became Missouri’s youngest Governor,” Bond said. “I have no aspiration of becoming
Missouri’s oldest senator.”
