Did Blagojevich hurt his case in Maddow interview?

On MSNBC, they’re wondering whether impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich may have implicated himself in some sort of deal-making in last night’s interview with Rachel Maddow. (Around the 6:40 of the above video.)
“There are political negotiations and leveraging that is very much a part of the process,” Blagojevich said when asked about appointing Barack Obama’s Senate replacement.
Blagojevich’s impeachment trial in the State Senate resumes today.
