Six of us, four Post-Dispatch reporters and two PD photojournalists are spinning our wheels at Dulles airport in Washington, D.C., somewhat weary from three days of inauguration coverage.  And we might have to wait one more day, as our flight to Charlotte has been delayed, almost assuring that we’ll miss our connection to St. Louis.

I rode to Washington with three busloads of people, mostly church members, documenting their journey to watch the inauguration of President Barack Obama.  Working late into the evening, I chose to return by airplane and not leave with the group, who all departed at 11 this morning.  At this point, it appears they might beat me home.  So much for strategy!

why don’t you just stay in DC and ride back on the bus with the St. Louis pro-lifers who will be in town on Jan 22nd? I don’t think in the 35-year history of the prolife movement that the Post-Dispatch has ever sent a reporter to ride and document the journey of one of the 10-15 busloads of St. Louisians who travel to Washington DC for the annual pro-life march. You might learn a thing or two about real conviction if you did.

That’s what you get Jake for throwing so much of Obama’s propaganda at us the last few days.

Disgraceful journalism!
