Marjorie Bosley, matriarch of political family, passes away

Marjorie Ellen Bosley, the mother of former mayor Freeman Bosley Jr., died Wednesday. She was 73.
Mrs. Bosley — known as “Marge” — was married to Alderman Freeman Bosley Sr. Their son became St. Louis’ first African-American mayor.
A government employee for many years, Mrs. Bosley enjoyed world travel and shopping in antique stores. She is remembered by a host of friends and family, including two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Monday at the Samaritan United Methodist Church.
