Mixed emotions on the inaugural road to Washington

For Maxine Johnson of St. Louis, the excitement of going to Washington, D.C. to witness the inauguration of the 44th president was tempered by sadness.
Johnson’s mother, Helen Underwood, 78, was buried the day before buses pulled away from a Target parking lot in Jennings.
