On second thought, Hoskins backs out of Scientologist exhibit
Hoskins
State Rep. Ted Hoskins backed out of an appearance this weekend at an anti-psychiatry exhibit linked to the Church of Scientology.
Hoskins, a Democrat from Berkeley, was scheduled to speak at “Psychiatry: An Industry of Death” at the Jamestown Mall in Florissant on Saturday afternoon.
The exhibit was organized by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights, a group founded by Scientologists that shares the same fervent opposition to psychiatry.
Hoskins agreed to speak at the exhibit last week, when he saw a portion of the display at the Capitol rotunda in Jefferson City.
Hoskins said he thought the group was crusading only against teachers giving students behavioral drugs like Ritalin without prescriptions.
“When they told me they were a human rights organization dealing with students,” Hoskins said, “they never told me that they came out of the Church of Scientology.”
After learning about the group’s ties — and that they believe psychiatry is responsible for the torture and deaths of numerous individuals — Hoskins called the organizer and canceled his plans to speak at the exhibit Saturday.
“They misled me,” Hoskins said.

“Hmm, comments like these always make me wonder if these people actually ever talk to Scintologists, or do the just but into popular internet phenomena.”
Sure, do you know any Scientologists who want to talk?
Funny how Anti Scientology people are doing the job that our governmnet and state officials should be doing. Anti-Scientology people have been trying to warn people about this exhibit for years. Perhaps our town and state officials should do their homework before letting this exhibt in their towns in the first place. Never mind speaking at them.
I think the many branches of the governemnt, plus state and town officals should start listening to Anti Scientology peolple and listen to what they have to say about Scientology, all the Scientology front groups and Scientology’s Sea Organization.
I also think that the government and state and town officls should get on the internet and look at the MANY sites available that have all this information readily availabe to them.
They can start out at exscientologykids.com
The heart wrenching stories from the children who escaped Scientology’s Sea Org should be enough to make them go on and research more.
I commend Hoskins for cancelling his speach at the CCHR. But I do hope a valuable lesson has been learned, and I WISH that this information is shared with ALL the states and town officials in the USA, so that this horrific exhibit is not allowed to be set up in ANY state.
The CCHR goes into towns under false pretences(as Hoskins said he was mislead by them) and they should NOT be allowed to set up in ANY town. The CCHR does not mention Scientology to anyone before they set up. They are deceptive and a hate group of psychiatry AND a discust to the Jewish community due to their references to the Holocuast in their exhibit. There is such a thing as freedom of speach yes…. but not if a group is setting up using deceptive information about their exhibit.
I urge Mr Hoskins to alert ALL other states!
Glad to see you back out and also hope that your experience of the deception of Scientology will cause you to consider ways to shut the exhibit down. Freedom of speech is one thing, but an exhibit filled with lies, hatred and deceptions should not be allowed anywhere.
If Scientologists are so against medications, why did L. Ron Hubbard die a Howard Hughes hermit with black teeth, long, dirty, matted hair, fingernails so long they curled under, and a body loaded with Vistaril? Please explain that one to me? See page 107-108 in Andrew Morton’s wonderful and truthful book about Hubbard and his cult….
“As the movement went into meltdown, Hubbard was in hiding, on the run from law for fraud and tax evasion. Those who glimpsed this shadowy character, then living under an assumed name in a remote ranch in Crestor, California, recall that he cut an incoherent, unkempt figure reminiscent of the eccentric billionaire, Howard Hughes. His teeth were black, his lank, shoulder-length hair dirty and matted, his nails long, gnarled, and curling-hardly an endorsement for the lifestyle he had spent years promoting. The ULTIMATE IRONY of his BIZARRE LIFE is that when he died in January 1986, shortly after suffering a stroke, his body was full of VISTARIL, a PSYCHIATRIC DRUG used to calm frantic or overanxious patients. Yet this was the same man who had devoted his life to fighting psychiatrists, blaming them for all the world’s ills.”
Hubbard died January 24, 1986 in a 1982 Blue Bird motor home. He had been injected with Vistaril(hydroxyzine hydrochloride) by intramuscular injection in the right buttock by Dr. Gene Denk. Public documents are on record. Located at San Luis Obispo Sheriff Office, Coroners file #8936.

I hope that everyone will spread the message that Scientology is a Dangerous Criminal Cult, and a mind control scheme to get your money.
With ev erything that’s known about the notorious Scientology crime syndicate, it’s a wonder that any politician still manages to embarrassing himself by falling for Scientology frauds and scams, including the rubes who give Scientology;s “NarCONon” fake front our tax money.
With the Internet, there is no excuse for anyone getting rooked and swindled by Scientology

Anonymous has been protesting across from the Cult every month for the past year. They are more than welcome to send someone out to talk to us. However they seem to prefer to just stay inside and snap pictures of us.
We actually got into a polite conversation with 2 Scientologist ladies back in July. One of them claimed to have been a Scientologist for over 30 years and accused us of being terrorists. When someone asked her to explain her religious beliefs, she immediately “clammed up”, if you’ll pardon the expression.
