Lt. Gov Peter Kinder and Rams linebacker Chris Draft will unveil “Winning with Asthma,” a national campaign targeted at coaches, nurses and high school students to raise awareness for people with asthma in Missouri. The issue is a personal one for Draft, who has asthma.
Kinder and Draft, along with Peggy Gaddy, the asthma coordinator at the Department of Health and Senior Services, will unveil the program at 1:30 p.m. tommorow in the House Lounge on the third floor of the Capitol.
The campaign will be targeted at middle and high school students, as well as coaches and school nurses. The goal is to help them recognize the effects of asthma and prevent attacks. It will take the form of posters and literature, as well as radio and television public service announcements.
The National Lieutenant Governor’s Association sponsors the program.
