St. Louis TV stations pool resources, coverage for inaugural

Witness this unusual sight a few yards from the state Capitol:

– A Channel 5 reporter using a Channel 2 cameraman during an interview with a button-seller.

After a few queries, Political Fix learned that the three major St. Louis TV stations have merged resources for covering the state inaugural in Jefferson City.

As a result, Channel 2’s camera is providing pool video. Channel 5 has the truck. A Channel 4 staffer was on the truck doing some video while the Channel 5 reporter was querying the button-seller, a guy from Springfield, Ill., who was just setting up shop on the corner of High and Jefferson streets around 9 a.m.

Some of those involved said they couldn’t recall such a pooled effort for earlier state inaugurals. Perhaps this is just another example of media cooperation, at a time of financial strife in the industry.

Freudian slip: “fool video” should be “pool video,” right?

is it possible that’s “pool” coverage Jo? I may have mentioned this before but arent you the one who teased me unmercifully for typos? does the phrase glass houses mean anything? and if not a typo, or freudian undergarment, not nice to judge; or as I might say, “not judging, just saying”.
and I obviously am not the first one to notice;
you know, I dont proofread my posts outloud, I dont think writers should be required to either! fair is fari.

Why hasn’t any news media including the Post dispatch reported the closing of all Cole county state offices and releasing all state employees in Cole County for a holiday–paid for by the Missouri tax payer? I think this is news worthy. I wonder what the cost to our budget was for the inauguration in total will be?

In past inaugurations, (including Blunt’s inauguration) all state offices have been closed–not just Cole County.

Hey, Jo, with the typo corrected (we’re there for you!), you have my permission to remove second post; first can go to, for that matter; makes more sense; tho I think the fool video phrase a classic; you’re smart enough to put it intentionally just to toy with us, professional that you are.
best,

what’s interesting to me is that “p” and “f” not anywhere near each other on keyboard; that does sort of make if Freudian? or Jungian? or Bruno Bettleheimian? PostDispatchian? but I digress; presuming I had a direction to begin with. I think the key phrase here is “more sleep”; for me, I mean.

Inauguration day and other type events causes the Cole County state offices to be closed because they need the parking lots for visitors. That isn’t needed in other areas.

Jo, you could do billhaas a favor by deleting ALL of his posts, lest he have to worry about others actually reading his spew every time he runs for office.
