Awkward air: McCaskill flies with former rival Blunt
Eventually, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill’s candid Twitter updates will cease to be news or even blog fodder.
Eventually.
For the moment, though, they are hard to resist.
Take this gem from Thursday, where McCaskill was heading back to St. Louis from Washington — and sharing a plane with former Republican Gov. Matt Blunt.
Blunt, of course, was elected to his one term by defeating McCaskill in the contentious 2004 election that saw the Democratic National Committee withdraw from Missouri in hopes of using those resources elsewhere.
The gambit didn’t work, but did lead McCaskill to where she is today — the Twittering Queen of the Senate.
As for Blunt, McCaskill’s twitter wasn’t bitter.
“Nice visit,” McCaskill wrote of her run-in with Blunt at the airport. “He seems happy and content to be out of the pressure cooker.”

i predict that we haven’t heard the last of Baby Blunt–within the next year I pray that he is involved in a public scandal…and I don’t mean the one about the e-mails.
He is a very evil man.
