City Hall lobbyist’s car — and sirens — get taken for a ride
Post-Dispatch gossip guru Deb Peterson has the scoop about a St. Louis lobbyist whose car was stolen from outside his home near Forest Park — then used to pull over other drivers down the road.
Lou Hamilton, a well-known City Hall insider who’s represented the Cardinals and Anheuser-Busch, had his Yukon Denali taken early Tuesday morning.
The car was later found, but not before the thieves used a set of lights and sirens inside the car to pull over drivers on Union Boulevard.
Huh? Why the sirens?
“They’re used for special events — parades and stuff like that,” Hamilton told Peterson.
In addition to doing contract work for Mayor Francis Slay’s office, Hamilton is also chairman of the Metropolitan Taxi Commission.

He likes to play traffic cop with the taxis, thinks he is the taxi police.
Even if they are used for special events, the sirens and lights are illegal!
Don’t worry. I’m sure Slay and his cronies only think they are above the law for small things like the Mayor’s Ball. I’m sure that when it comes to anything of real importance they are completely honorable.
i am sorry i lent him that just like i did the towing contracts scandal.
Hmmmmmmmmm.. Aren’t the police the ones who provide assistance for special events, parades and stuff like that? Let me guess, Lou has a packing permit too.
