Legace tripped on a carpet left out for Sarah Palin
The St. Louis Blues have cut goalie Manny Legace, who was hurt when then GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin made an appearance at Scottrade Center.
Palin was at the arena in October, where the Alaska governor and self-avowed “hockey mom” was invited to drop the puck before a game against the Los Angeles Kings.
But Legace, the Note’s starting netminder at the time, was tripped up by the carpet left out so Palin could make it to center ice. He went back to the locker room with a strained left hip-flexor, and hasn’t been the same since.
While the rug injury isn’t the sole factor in Legace’s disapointing season, it certainly didn’t help. The goalie will be sent to the Blues’ minor league affiliate in Peoria, Ill. if he’s not picked up on waivers by another club.
That woman seems to have a knack for ending careers except her own.
Streeeeeeeeeeetching for a story aren’t we Jake? Did you bother to check Legaces stats before the carpet attack that Palin caused versus his stats after?
I’m a little suprised you didn’t blame Legace getting waived on the economy.
Wow Jake you got it right a “Vast right-wing conspiracy” Hillary would be proud. Did it ever cross your mind that Legace is on the down side of his career, apparently not, 3 paragraphs Palin, 1 paragraph Legace. On a positive note reporting like this will bring the Post Dispatch to the level of the New York Times, keep it up!
I would sue Sarah..She won’t mind..Dumber things have came her way since McCain chose her as a running mate..Of course it could have not had anything with carelessness on his part..oh no..No one takes responsibility for their own actions these days.
What is it about Palin that the media is afraid? Do we know what idiot left the carpet there in the first place? Carpets have been placed on the ice for performers without skates and hockey players are not suppose to skate on them Duh
