Watch: Candidates for 25th Ward alderman face-off

ST. LOUIS — With an open seat in a changing neighborhood, the race for 25th Ward alderman is perhaps the most intriguing board race on the March 3 primary ballot.

Wednesday’s debate at Confluence Academy included Democrats Shane Cohn, Travis Reems and Deborah Kotraba.

Kotraba’s husband, Steve, briefly served as fire chief in 2007 after the demotion of Sherman George.

Reems previously worked for License Collector Mike McMillan. Cohn has experience as a community organizer.

A fourth candidate, Angie Singler, was unable to make last night’s event because of a family illness. You can find some “sweet” video of her below.
