“Militia” movement? Ron Paul will be in St. Louis tonight
ST. LOUIS – Ron Paul’s ears must have been ringing.
The Libertarian-leaning Texas Congressman and former presidential candidate was part of the big story in Jefferson City this week.
As our Roseann Moring reported earlier, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s public safety chief was forced to apologize for referencing Paul supporters in a report about the modern militia movement.
Turns out, Paul is making a previously scheculed stop in St. Louis tonight as part of his Campaign for Liberty effort.
While the weekend of grassroots training will be available for registered participants, tonight’s 8 p.m. speech by Paul at the Millenium Hotel downtown is free and open to the general public.
Think anyone from the state’s Public Safety Department will attend?

This is a seriously frightening development……………..
Can the paper provide detailed coverage related to the make-up, oversight, and role of the “Missouri Information Analysis Center”?
Since they produced this material and they have a direct link into Missouri law enforcement members, I’m sure many other readers would be equally interested in exactly who they are, what they do, and who is responsible for their work/actions.
I found their website and it looks like the Missouri State Highway Patrol provides the official oversight:

Makes this story even more concerning.

I notice that the local media is all abuzz about Ron Paul. YEAH, now that he’s no longer a threat to become President. Back when he was running the MSM definately suppressed his message. Especially about ridding the country of the blood sucking Federal Reserve system and “REAL” tax reform.
nice win for us little guys, the US citizens

Congressman Ron Paul has been talking about these problems like the Federal Reserve and Iraq before we ever saw these problems become even more serious lately. He voted no on going into Iraq. In many cases he abstains from voting as he follows the US Constitution and many bills should not be allowed since they are outside of what the Constitution allows the government to control.
He’s for the free market, very limited government, and very low taxes. He wants us to maintain our freedoms which the Constitution allows and which are constantly getting taken away from the people by our government. He’s against the Patriot Act.
The government is making Ron Paul and his supporters to be the bad guys, when it is our government who is the real bad guy. There is no better way to destroy our country than from within, and our government is doing a fine job of it.

funny how a lot of what Ron Paul said last year ended up coming true…. maybe he’s not as kooky as the MSM made him out to be…
the post dispatch is so left it’s disgusting…. can’t report anything without putting a slant on it.
thanks for the update. too bad i moved far north and wont be able to make it
Thanks for putting this up.
The evening was a great success. There were about 900 people there. Hotel workers told me that there were 700 chairs set up, and the walls were lined with people standing. Swank audio/visual was retained by Campaign For Liberty to record the event, which included Jim Guest, Judge Napolitano, and Ron Paul. Even better, the seminars for the weekend are completely sold out.
The M.I.A.C. report did indeed mention third party folk as close to militia, but as the recent sail change of vocals like Rush, and Beck can attest, the real target was the Republican Party. These TOO guys just can’t help but start and end up in sledge hammer fights.
There are people fighting for you…
and there are people fighting over you. The one’s fighting over you, will never agree with each other, and they are spending all of YOUR money to find the best way to “take care of you”.
How’s that workin’ out for you?
This was no ‘Tea Party’!
Again, I thank the Post for the column inches!
