Twittering McCaskill hires “new media coordinator”

ST. LOUIS – U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill appears poised to add to her bag of techno tricks.
The Missouri senator, whose Twitter feed has become a must-follow on Capitol Hill, has hired a young Washington University grad as her “new media coordinator.”
Sam Drzymala, 25, will help with website design, videos and e-newsletters, McCaskill’s office said this week. A native of Webster Groves, Dryzmala also worked on Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
In other office moves, McCaskill announced replacements for two staffers who left for the Obama administration. Stephen Hedger has been promoted to chief policy advisor and Julie Dwyer began her first week as McCaskill’s new chief of staff.
Maybe now she can hire someone to actually bring some money back to Missouri……

So McCaskill hired a techno-nerd? Senators do not make enough to hire staff and dedicated webheads. Claire does what she does best - spend our money on herself. This is the problem with no term limits. Senators get elected then use our money to keep themselves in office. What challenger has a chance raising funds against the people in charge of the money printing press? Claire McCaskill is serving herself first.

I think it’s fantastic that she’s hired staff to help her reach out to the public in a new medium. Publis, you obviously have no idea that part of a Senator’s job is to inform their constituency.
