Matt Blunt has a new line for his post-Jefferson City résumé — teaming up with another former Republican governor of Missouri.

Blunt, who left the governor’s office in January, is joining the Ashcroft Group, formed by former governor, senator and U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft.

The company announced today that Blunt, along with former ATF Director Michael Sullivan, will join the group’s homeland security consulting division.

Earlier this month, former Missouri State House Speaker Catherine L. Hanaway announced she was leaving her post as U.S. Attorney - a position that, with a Democrat in the White House, she was bound to exit soon — to also join Ashcroft.

The Ashcroft Group offers advice on a wide-range of issues, from government regulations to crisis management.

Blunt’s political connections have proved beneficial for him in the private sector. Earlier, the investment firm run by Tagg Romney — son of former Massachusetts governor and GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney — announced it had hired Blunt as a senior adviser.

So the Ashcroft Group offers advice on government regulations.
Well, that seems to be one of the Republican strong points.
Who’s sharing the cubicle next to Tom Delay and Jack Abramhoff?

What is so wrong with Catherine Hanaway other than she is a Republican in this day and age where the Party has become so blinded? (lol). But, what has she ever done that was so bad and, isn’t she a pretty decent, fair and likable person? Now this is saying a lot for any attorney. (lol). She’s totally okay.
