Ill. Senate approves medical marijuana
Post-Dispatch Springfield bureau
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The state Senate just approved the use of marijuana for medical use by a razor-thin margin after an hour-long debate.
The measure by state Sen. William Haine, D-Alton, passed 30-28 after tottering on the verge of failing until the 30th vote clicked ‘yes.’ Bills need 30 votes in the Senate to pass.
The bill, Senate Bill 1381, now heads to the state House where its future is unclear as the Legislature looks to wrap up its business by the end of the weekend.
Read tomorrow’s Post-Dispatch for more details and coverage.

Now that this passed, perhaps they could sell marijuana to raise money for the Roland Burris defense fund.
……….good for the Illinois Senate! Thank you Senator Haine!
