Gossip diva Deb Peterson has the scoop: U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay is divorcing his wife of more than 15 years.

Clay filed divorce papers earlier this week from Ivie Clay, a communications aide in the St. Louis Development Corp., a city agency.

The Clays have been married since 1993 and have two kids.

Lacy Clay is being represented by prominent attorney Alan Mandel, whose own wife was once mayor of Creve Coeur.

Lacy had better give Ivie whatever she wants in order to avoid a contested case. Files from bitter divorces have undone many a pol.

I think the Clay’s decision is a good one because no one should try to hold a marriage together if there are irreconcilable differences. They are good models, not afraid to show others the right thing to do. And besides, it’s non of my business.

Let’s hope it undoes this one! Missouri deserves better. That’s why Obama won’t touch him even after how hard he worked for him. He has a bad reputation on The Hill.

Ivie, tell it all! Do not seal the documents. Missouri does to know why they need new representation in Washington.

Irreconcilable differences is just another way of saying that you’ve decided to trade in your old wife, the mother of your children, for a new model. You’ve decided that a piece of ass was more important than being a father to your kids and so that they won’t end up another statistic.

SHAME ON YOU LACY CLAY.

He’s no Obama. In fact, he’s no Bill Clay, his father.

I wonder if she’ll still want when she finds out you’re now worth HALF.

Make sure you get your facts straight. They are not calling it quits. He is divorcing his wife. This is not mutual.

She is so sweet and a lady.

Not bad for a pro-choice Catholic

That’s the type of hypocrit he is! So much for family value. Ivie, write a tell all book and expose him and his family for they are.

Shame on you all, including you, Jake Wagman. This shouldn’t even be news. Leave these people alone. You all are the ultimate cowards for anonymously tearing down others on the internet.
