If all this was really important why was it not checked and re-checked BEFORE he was allowed to run for President. Then why bother now. Let it go people, he’s been elected to the highest office in the nation…live with it. There are so many other really important issues that we can be focusing our time and energy on. Issues that really matters to the lives of the american people. Like Healthcare Reform with a public option.

If as much time was spent on healthcare reform as this birth certificate issue, we the people would be much better off and have a healthcare system that works for the people and the insurance companies.

Now get busy working on that….PLEASE!!

If you, as a communist sympathizer, want to drink their Kool Aid and delude yourself that it is not important that he be an American, that’s your perogative. If you want to wait in years long lines for a doctor visit to tell you have (had) a cold, move to Cuba. Stay out of America. We are a free market society. Our founders never wanted the government owning banks, private companies or anything else. I’d say the burden of proof is on those who say Obama was born outside of the U.S. To-date they have provided no evidence. Maybe Blunt should get over it and attend to his job.

Mae, like it or not, being born in the US is a prerequisite required by the US Constitution. The point was raised before the election, but Obama, with the help and complicity of his adoring mainstream media, sandbagged. We bother now for the same reason that Congress went after Nixon after his reelection for Watergate offenses that occurred before then: it was the right thing to do.

While Obama probably was born in Hawaii as claimed, his refusal to make the certificate public raises legitimate suspicions. (He has only “provided a certificate of live birth” to government officials in Hawaii who are friendly to him.) This controversy would be over in a minute if he would just make the damned thing public (i.e., to the people, not just cronies). He hasn’t.

If it is determined that he was in fact born elsewhere (e.g., Indonesia or Kenya), there would be no change of party power. The presidency would shift to fellow Democrat, Vice-President Joe Biden.

Oh. Never mind.

I don’t think most people doubt whether he was born in Hawaii. The is completely about the Natural Born Citizen as stated in the US Constitution. Arnold the terminator is a US Citizen but he can’t hold the office of President.

For a President who claimed he would bring a new level of transparency to the government he sure is keeping a lot of stuff away from public scrutiny.

Wouldn’t this have been a lot easier if he just made access to his records public - literally like everyone else does in office?

We taxpayers deserve more transparency and we deserve the truth.

Forget the birth certificate. Let’s adopt a health plan for all Americans that the “legislators” including the president will accept for himself & his family. Why are we trying to destroy the best HEALTH CARE PROGRAM in the world.
