Missouri Republicans continue to question Obama citizenship
JEFFERSON CITY — Two Missouri state representatives today attended meetings conducted by Orly Taitz in which the California dentist questioned the validity of the presidency of Barack Obama.
Taitz alleges that Obama’s birth certificate is illegitimate, and even if it’s not, she says, he can’t be president because his father was Kenyan. She pushed her conspiracy theories and asked for money today at events in St. Charles and Jefferson City. Taitz said the Supreme Court is complicit in “illegal activity” for blocking her attempts to remove Obama from the presidency.
Rep. Cynthia Davis, R- O’Fallon, who has gotten a bit of national attention lately, was at the event in St. Charles, though she said she was just seeking information, according to a Jo Mannies blog post.
Not so for Rep. Ed Emery, R-Lamar. Emery said he questions Obama’s citizenship and he believes his alleged lack of a legitimate birth certificate ignores the Constitution.
“We’re thumbing our nose at the Constitution,” Emery said. He and Taitz allege that Obama’s certificate of live birth isn’t the same as a birth certificate.
The theory of the false birth certificate has been thoroughly de-bunked by numerous non-partisan groups. But Taitz argues that all of those groups are controlled by Obama.
Speaking to reporters, Emery concluded the issue wasn’t going to go away.
“Whoever is satisfied is satisfied,” he said. “Whoever is not, is not.”
Emery and Davis both chair committees in the Missouri House of Representatives. And they aren’t the only Missouri Republicans to go along with Taitz’ theory. State Rep. Tim Jones, R-Eureka, a lawyer, signed on to Taitz lawsuit about the birth certificate issue, a point Taitz made at her meetings.
At the Jefferson City meeting, she also mentioned Rep. Casey Guernsey, R-Bethany, as a supporter. And Sen. Jim Lembke, R-Lemay, sent a staff member to the St. Charles meeting.
Taitz, who was born in the former Soviet Union, referred to Obama as “King Obama” and the “Messiah” during her talk. She said citizens should form their own grand juries and indict the president.

From the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands website
WASHINGTON – The Hawaiian certification of live birth Barack Obama posted on his campaign website and distributed to select news organizations as proof he was a “natural born citizen” would not be accepted as a “birth certificate” even for some Hawaiian state government eligibility issues, WND has learned.
The investigation follows a Honolulu Star Bulletin column Saturday, which quotes a state Department of Health spokeswoman as saying the state’s current certification of live birth is recognized “as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements.”
The website of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, however, states clearly the certification of live birth touted by the Obama campaign, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs and a host of other Obama defenders is not acceptable as a form of identification to qualify under this program.

What a debacle. While everyone has the right to use critical thinking on any issue, this situation is outright embarrassing and wrong. Who has the right to say anyone’s birth certificate is illegal by simple speculation or rumor mongering? And her verbal attacks on Obama seem to indicate she is an angry, mentally unfit person. Barack Obama is the President of the U.S., and publishing a crusade of lies about him is disgusting. Orly Taitz needs to go back to Siberia where she was born, and take this pack of MOGOP crackpots with her.
McCain was born in Panama — there was no argument about that. Panama is NOT the United States, which is what the Constitution refers to (not colonies or protectorates). Yet it seems this was not an issue among most Republicans, and I would imagine McCain would have been sworn in had he been elected. So, yes, we are ignoring the Constitution. I think it highly unlikely Obama’s mother traveled to Africa to give birth there, and therefore since he was born in Hawaii, that would make him a U.S. citizen, regardless of his father’s home country. BTW, I voted for McCain.
WOW! What a lunatic! Why are you in government and the paper wasting time and resources even legitimizing this theory. YO!! Get a clue no one cares about what you Republicans think any longer. You are of no consequence on the Federal level. And, can’t you people find better things to do with your time and taxpayer’s money like working on improving the state’s economic woes and other issues? That’s why you are where you are today, because you are incompetent and are not spending your time wisely on important state issues that benefit the citizens of Missouri as a whole. UNBELIEVABLE!!! GET TO WORK AND QUIT PATRONIZING LOOPY RADICALS!!
I have no knowledge of where he was born, however, the SEC describes a “material” event as anything over five percent. I’ll bet five percent of the country thinks he was born elsewhere. He has an image problem with a lot of people who believe this stuff. He could settle the matter by simply releasing the documents and be done with it. Many blogs have speculated he claimed foreign birth or citizenship to gain admission to college. Even if he did, is he going to be impeached by a Democrat Congress? Again, you have to wonder why he simply doesn’t put the matter to rest? It is a distraction he could end.
FRAUDBAMA WILL BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE BY THE END OF THE YEAR AND HOPEFULLY BE IMPRISONED FOR FRAUD AND TREASON.
ANYONE WANT TO BET I’M WRONG?
I’VE GOT 5K THAT SAYS I’M RIGHT.
BECAUSE I KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON’T.
Get over it. Have the Republicans no issues worth discussing?
This will be settled on 1/17/2017
Well this answers one question I had. cynthia follows them, not sure if even the most bizarre follow her.
Awesome! Keep this up, and the GOP will lose even more power! Yesss!
