ST. LOUIS — While Fox News may have a frosty relationship with the White House, the network’s sports division has succeeded in getting President Barack Obama to sit down for an interview during tomorrow night’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Busch Stadium.

Sports Illustrated reports online that Obama will sit down with Fox Sports commentators Joe Buck, a St. Louisan, and Tim McCarver, a former Cardinal, sometime between the third and fifth inning of the game.

Obama has been asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, which will be caught by MVP slugger Albert Pujols.

Don’t be surprised if Buck does more than just toss softballs at the president — after all, Buck has had some tough interviews lately.

Buck has too much class to throw heat at the President in a non-political event.

Jake, very typical liberal-journalism lead. How about the White House has a frosty relationship with Fox News because they can’t stand the heat? Are you going to start refering to ABC, NBC, CBS having a cozy relationship with the White House? Or how about the Post Dispatch’s relationship?

How about “The White House has a frosty relationship with Fox News because rather than being a news organization, Fox News is nothing more than a propaganda organ for neocons?”

That’s much more plausible and accurate.

I never cease to be amazed by the anger and bitterness that ooze from some sore loser Republicans who hate the President so much that they can’t even enjoy the All-Star game.

Lighten up and just be happy that St. Louis will look great on national television, Albert might hit one, and oh yes, we have a Commander-in-Chief who actually speaks in complete sentences.

Nice change.

Go National League!

Alan - Don’t forget that we have a commander in chief that won’t release his birth certificate so we don’t know if he’s really legally qualified to be president.

I hope that SOB Hussein gets booed off the field. Come on St. Louis show your conservatism.

Wow, doesn’t take much to get political here. It is humorous to see both sides accuse the others of being haters. Too much of that going around already. But let’s face facts, big media is in bed with Obama and Fox wont do it. At least we still have both sides represented so we can get some perspective. The Post Dispatch is little more than bird cage fodder, so who cares there. While I object to POTUS running around the world bowwing and glad handing despots, I have to admit it is classy of him to meet with Joe Buck. Between the two, I think Joe would make the better president.

Honestly, it would have to be a light interview. “President Obama, explain your stance on a two-state solution for … it’s a pop-fly to center field to retire the side … Israel and Palestine? But first a word from our sponsor.” I say skip the interview and watch the darn game.
