Palin steps down from Alaska governor’s office
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
I just watched Sarah Palin resign from the Alaskan governor’s office on CNN. She said politics had become too big of a distraction for the governor’s office, mentioned her son Trigg and talked about influencing society outside of government.

GOP DREAM TICKET for 2012:
Sarah Palin and Cynthia Davis ! ! !
Unbeatable (well, in O’Fallon, anyway…)
Hmmm - maybe it is the Democratic Dream Ticket, though…
Turns out she’s not a new Margaret Thatcher or Ronald Reagan. She’s all talk and no cattle. Good riddance.
I guess she realized that being a rural elitist who despises the cities and suburbs isn’t the way to win an election.
Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned!
I know I’m going to piss off every Obamanut on this board, but that chick is fine :). I’d rather take a chance on her than more bailout politics. Not that I’d really want either one. Lesser of two evils, huh?
Acentric -
I thought it was “Hell hath no FURY like a woman scorned” — although if one were to scorn her “furry” (blush here)…….
More of the high-level, issue-oriented stuff Rharnack pretends he provides:
“…her “furry” (blush here)”
===
Centwist- I like that-Hell hath no FURRY(?)…..good one
I like the “chick” comment from her 5:52 pm supporter.
Must have seen Sarah in her Britney Spears jeans at 5:30 pm.
I figure it’s the scandal of her life or she’s just a quitter.
Palin and Huckabee are in a dead heat for 2012 with the 27% of Americans who still call themselves Republicans.
Now that’s a winning ticket. (Obama won’t even have to campaign)…. One who doesn’t believe in evolution and one who allows her 7 year old daughter to cut the throats of animals still evolving…Yeeeh Aahhh.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the next President of the United States. Only 3 years 6 months more to go.
Oops! Thanks for the good laugh folks.
Hate to say it, because I was a big supporter of Sarah Palin, but she just about signed her death warrant for further effective participation in national politics. This is for three reason as I see it:
1. She did not complete her contract with the citizens to serve them as governor. She should have honored her responsibilities and stayed on. Her leaving now short changes the electorate and makes her look way too ambitious.
2. The Governorship of Alaska is her only real claim to fame regarding hands on experience governing something other than a small town. She walked away in bad taste and will have to answer why she did so when serving as Governor was her only real learning base for national roles.
3. Her attitude is, unfortunately, becoming smug and even somewhat elitist. This is probably due to some real bad advice she is getting from her staff. She is losing the hold on us she had as being believable and forthright, now she looks just like another overtly ambitious politician who shrugged her responsibility to chase a bigger dream.
I hope I am wrong but am fairly sure I am not. Big mistake Sarah, unless there is some personal and viable underlying reason we are not yet aware of, this was a big mistake.
I am afraid she is all done.
She”s a quitter. Couldn”t stand the heat.Gonna miss the comic relief she provided.
Palin haters said she’s too stupid to be in office. Then when she resigns, the haters whine she’s a quitter. HEY GUESS WHAT HATERS, YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY SHE QUIT! But the real truth is the haters are libs who are always unhappy, angry, jealous and petty.
It’s proof nothing is good enough for liberals. They hated Palin but wanted her to stay in office so the people of Alaska would be punished by her stupid service.
Liberalism never lasts very long because their emotions rule judgement. That’s an asset usually seen in Third World or dictator-run countries.
Barbie, please don”t go away, the country needs the comic relief you provide.
