Burson Taylor Snyder
U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt readily admits his Senate campaign will keep him away from Capitol Hill more than usual next year.
But maintaining a well-run House office could be just as important as ever for Blunt — which is why he has enlisted a trusted aide to keep watch in D.C.
Last week, Blunt announced the hiring of experienced Republican staffer Burson Taylor Snyder as his deputy chief of staff.
Snyder previously served Blunt as communication director in the Republican Whip office and worked on the presidential campaign of actor/former Senator Fred Thompson.
She is also the wife of prominent GOP pollster Pete Snyder, founder of New Media Stratagies, which employs another former Blunt aide, Jessica Boulanger.
Snyder’s latest gig is obviously short-lived: Blunt is giving up his Southwest Missouri Congressional seat to run for higher office.
But, if he’s successful, she should be near the top of the list of those moving up with him.
