After the arrest of two of its members in a fracas at U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall last week, the Service Employees International Union headquarters released this web video seeking to uphold its image.

Details are still fuzzy about what happened outside the school gymnasium Thursday night. As shown in the above video, the union contends one of its own was a victim in the melee.

Of course the union thug goons are going to deny, but there are enough eye witnesses that they should be spending a little time in jail. “The Messiah” should be in trouble too for calling out the DOGS.

–Amy Chozick reports on the presidential race from Philadelphia.

Mobster wisdom tells us never to bring a knife to a gun fight. But what does political wisdom say about bringing a gun to a knife fight?

Sen. Barack Obama talks at a town hall meeting at Radnor Middle School in Wayne, Pa., Saturday, June 14. (AP)

That’s exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

So, it wasn’t the first time the Obama has authorized violence for his supporters.

Mag,

–Just let me have 5 minutes with him on any b-ball court anywhere, anytime.
His narcissism will be brought down about 20 notches.

SEIU - 2 million members. At least half are government employees.

Glenn Beck - As of May ‘08, over 6.5 million listeners on radio, and a Marconi Award for Network Syndicated Personality of the Year. Five books, two of which hit #1 on the NYT bestseller list.

Jake Wagman–shame on you for doing such a puff piece on the hard right wingers in our community. (I tried to put a comment on your article, but for some reason, was not able.) Dana Loesch is not just your average suburban mommy, like your article, and her quoted statement in that article, implies. She has a hard right wing talk show on our local equivalence of Fox “News” station: 97.1 FM. In case you or your readers are not aware, that radio stand-in for yellow journalism, features such hate radio talking heads as Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, and local boy, Jamie Allman. It’s not “fair and balanced” and certainly, usually, inaccurate. She is a hard right wing Republican/conservative activist. She may change diapers, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a professional hater/activist!

Anyway…the Brooks Brothers Band stopped the vote-counting in Florida in 2000 and now the health insurance industry is trying to stop insurance reform now through egging on the “birthers” and “deathers” to shout down any civil discussion of proposed health insurance reform. We have seen those tactics before(a la Florida in 2000 when Tom DeLay’s staffers, flew corporate jets from Texas and pretended to be local Florida residents in order to stop the vote-counting in Florida). The Stalinists also did this very same thing in Eastern Europe after WWII. Wake up, Wagman and Wake Up, America!

whiterosesociety has always been like Obama and Jake Wagman, and me, a national treasure. or at least a local one; always a good start; even after being depressed by Medicare part C and a glass of wine and not enough exercise or sugar(love or its equivalent).

Jake, why isn’t the PD reporting the names and backgrounds of the thugs that were arrested with you? You know who they are. And why isn’t Arnie letting you talk to the press. This from the guy who wanted all of Blunts e-mails. What are you guys trying to hide and for whom? Why did the union thug who was booked on KMOX today suddenly have a meeting? Where is Arnie Robbins and his sleuth journalism when we need it? There are still a lot of unanswered questions.

I heard Dan Rather say tonight that it is vitally important for this country to have a fiercely independent press. Ha!
