Nerves of Steele? RNC Chair seems to agree with Blunt critique

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele might have to do some fence mending with his candidate for Senate in Missouri.
Steele was a guest last week on the Springfield, Mo. radio show of Vincent Jericho, who was criticizing U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt’s conservative credentials.
Among other things, Jericho took issue with Blunt’s response to the page scandal that stung House Republicans a few years ago.
“Guys like Papa Blunt make us sick to our stomach,” Jericho said. “They aren’t conservatives.”
Steele’s response?
“I agree with you,” Steele said. “Look, when, when, when stuff gets in the crapper, you gotta clean it out.”

The Republicans are the worst examples of idealized politics to begin with. Mr. Blunt is owned by tobacco his new wife was a tobacco lobbyist. She apparently arranged for a $400,000 do nothing job for Mr. Blunts son. To make matters worse the job entails him talking to his fathers fellows in the Congress what a sham. Mr. Steele is a fair weather friend and owned by corporations bent on killing Americans with guns, tobacco, alcohol, pollution, toxic workplaces, and any other plague they can get money out of.
Jake, you’re taking stuff off the bomb-throwing FiredUp site and holding it out as news. This makes a mountain out of a molehill.
The only perfect candidate for anyone is him/herself. The election of Blunt will prevent Democrats from adding to their filibuster-proof majority in the senate, and that’s reason enough to elect Blunt over Princess Robin.

Just because Blunt has funneled more money from Health Insurance Executives and Big Tobacco than any other Congressman… And just because Blunt has ties to questionable K-Street PACs lauded by Delay, Norquist, Abramhoff, and Ralph Reed…doesn’t mean we need a plunger to clean out his crapper….This man hasn’t even started eating granola bars yet.
