Clay

While President Barack Obama’s new Nobel Peace Prize is causing some political consternation, U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay has nothing but praise.

In a statement issued this morning, the St. Louis Democrat said the honor marks a “proud day for America.” From the statement:

I want to congratulate President Obama on this remarkable recognition of his bold and brave leadership. The President has restored American credibility around the world. His vision of a more peaceful planet and his personal commitment to strive for human rights and justice for all people is in keeping with the best traditions of other great American leaders who have shared this special honor. With this award, the President now joins the ranks of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President Jimmy Carter, President Theodore Roosevelt and President Woodrow Wilson. I am very proud of my friend, and I am very proud for our country.

Now I suppose you “Lazy” Clay want one too?

Obama is as much a joke as President as you are a Congressman.

Oh wait… you got daddy’s seat and haven’t really ever run for election… Obama (at least) did that.

“Lazy” Clay you are a bigger joke.

Eleven days in office and this joker gets the Noble prize??? You’ve got to be kidding me. No experience, no accomplishments, no nothing and now this?
Everyone in this country and around the world is laughing. It’s an embarassment to the hardworking, honest, taxpayers of this country.

The next time someone wrings their hands over how cynical people have become of our country’s political leadership, direct them to this statement. Sycophantic praise by one of the most useless congressman in recent history to the worst president in over a century is an insult to the intelligence.

Lacy was surprised to discover that there was a Noble Pizza Prize. And underneath this veneer of praise, he’s jealous that President Obama received the free pizza and didn’t share it with him.

Was this April 1st?? Surely it was. I find it interesting that this is the only place on this POST DISPATCH web site that mentions the president’s Cracker Jack prize. It’s as if the PD wants to keep this under cover and limit all the negative comments that would be sure to come. What a comical farce!

Yous guys is right.
If Clay wasn’t so lazy he would offer an anti-flag burning amendment.
Or introduce legislation making 2008 the “Year of the Bible”!

What? That’s Todd Akin’s greatest accomplishments?
Never mind.

Don’t be so hard on Lacy. Afterall, he did propose naming the Jennings Post-Office in honor of Jodie Bailey.

The same jennings Post Office that was on the chopping block to be closed…..
