McCaskill’s approval rating weakens as health-care votes loom

WASHINGTON — There was disquieting news for Missouri Democrats along with some welcome news in the second part of a Public Policy Polling survey released this afternoon.
The good news was a generally strong approval rating for Gov. Jay Nixon at a time when many chief executives are experiencing something different. The poll of 763 Missouri voters by the Democratic-aligned company showed that 42 percent of Missouri’s voters approved of the job Nixon is doing with 25 percent disapproving. The poll has an error margin of plus or minus 3.6 percent, the company said.
The polling company said that Nixon is one of only four governors in states it has surveyed this year with a disapproval rating under 30 percent. (Another is Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn.)
For Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, also a Democrat, the polling numbers were less positive. Missouri Voters disapproving of the job she is doing outnumber those approving by a margin of 45-42 percent. Independent voters were splitting 52-35 percent against her.
A poll by the company in January found McCaskill’s approval rating at 44 percent with 37 percent disapproving of the job she is doing.
“I think she’s suffering from the same stuff Democrats across the country are suffering from, the loss of support from independents,” said Tom Jensen, a spokesman for the polling firm.
Democrats in Congress have suffered in public esteem during efforts to complete an overhaul of the health-care insurance system. The Senate is scheduled to vote as early as Saturday on whether to advance the latest Democratic-drawn proposal.
A release from the company added: “With opinion on McCaskill closely divided, the state may be in for yet another highly competitive Senate contest come 2012″ when McCaskill us up for re-election.
Voters gave retiring Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond, a Republican, a 41 percent approval rating with 34 percent disapproving.
The first part of the survey released earlier this week showed a neck-and-neck race for Bond’s Senate seat between Secretary of State Robin Carnahan and U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt.
McCaskill anchored herself to the Obama iceberg more tightly than any other freshman Senator.
And she will suffer the consequences when Obama’s Inflation Tsunami hits us.
so more people approve of the job Senator McCaskill is doing then approve of the job Senator Bond is doing and that is supposed to show how Missourians don’t like Democrats? Honestly, I think the reality is that Missourians don’t like incumbents about equally regardless of party.
I think this poll says a lot. First, it was conducted by democrats and we all know how unbiased they are. Second, less than half the democrats support Nixon and McCaskill. So, even though 763 democrats were polled, they still could not acheive a 50 percent approval rating. Not surpising a republican got the worst rating considering the bias of Public Policy Polling.
I look at Claire McCaskill and I see an empty shell. I’ll NEVER forgive her for jumping on the Obama ship even before she knew what he represented. She had her training as auditor, and her supporting such a financially disastrous Senate bill is criminal. Her support of a bill which has mandatory funding of abortion procdures via the premiums each policyholder MUST pay is criminal. This bill will only raise our premiums, not lower them. Does she believe it is constitutional to fine and/or imprison citizens for not paying into this system? What has happened to her? Special interests? Political amibitions?
I don’t care who runs against her..a Republican, a Libertarian, a Constitutionalist…I will work day and night to ensure her defeat. She has sold Missouri out…I want her pink slip delivered. She is an utter disgrace. She asked at one town hall meeting, ”don’t you trust me”?

If Claire had been diligent at all, she would have learned that from rooming with shady Sohale Siddiqi in a drug-infested portion of NYC after visiting Siddiqi’s native country during college with other Pakistanis; to a close association with Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, a key adviser to a Saudi billionaire who mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers (alleged in a 1995 book that the U.S. was plotting genocide against black Americans); to attending a black liberation church for almost two decades under a disgraced pastor (Jeremiah Wright) who inspired him; to launching his first campaign for public office with a fund-raising party at the home of friends (unrepentant Weather Underground leaders William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn) whose violent guerilla group bombed the Pentagon; to having benefactors such as FBI fugitive Salman Ibrahim (Sunrise Equities fraud) and far left-wing Rabbi Arnold Wolf who even invited the “Chicago 7” to address his synagogue; to longstanding shady dealings with slumlord/convicted influence peddler Tony Rezko and purchasing a home with his help for $1.65 million; to connections with first cousin Odinga who wanted to bring Kenya under Sharia law, sheikh- and emperor-bowing Barak Hussein Obama, a disciple of Saul Alinsky (author of Rules for Radicals), seems to be most comfortable with far-left wing Marxists, revolutionaries and United Nations nut jobs straight out of the Star Wars barroom scene. This repulsive mindset certainly hasn’t changed if one takes an honest look at the following backgrounds of some of the Impostor’s suspect men and women in his Out House Administration:
David Axelrod – senior adviser is a master of “astroturfing” and was behind leaking divorce papers when Obama ran against Jack Ryan for an Illinois Senate seat
Bob Bauer – Anita Dunn’s husband and Barry’s personal lawyer was instrumental in Obama reneging on his pledge and forgoing public financing of presidential campaign, not releasing college papers to assess his core values plus intimidating outlets carrying any negative ads
Ron Bloom – manufacturing czar said: “We know this is largely about power, that it’s an adults-only, no-limit game. We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun.”
Carol Browner – environmental czar was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which endorses international taxes that should be imposed to provide the “resources necessary” to embrace socialist concepts such as compelling an inventor to surrender property rights in order to “share” technologies with less-developed countries
Anita Dunn – communications director responsible for trying to put Fox News in an unfavorable light told an impressionable high school audience that one of her favorite philosophers was Mao Tse-tung (killed more than 50 million Chinese in his revolution)
Ezekiel Emanuel – health policy advisor and brother of Obama’s chief of staff is a bioethicist who promotes rationing care, insisting that a physician’s duty includes redefining ethical obligations and working for the greater good of society rather than focusing only on a patient’s needs
Rahm Emanuel – Chief of Staff is a profane self-loathing Jew known as being a hyperactive attack dog who once studied ballet, made a fortune serving on Freddie Mac’s disgraced board and sent a dead fish to a pollster who upset him
Chai Feldblum – EEOC nominee is lesbian who thinks sexual rights are more important than religious rights
Tim Geithner – Treasury Secretary is responsible for confronting tax evaders after being an admitted tax cheat himself
Eric Holder – Attorney General is Clinton Administration retread whose intercession on behalf of 16 Puerto Rican terrorists and fugitive Marc Rich is so inane that he has always viewed ignorance as his best defense; decision to bring Middle East jihadists to NYC for a show trial is equally inexplicable
John Holdren – science czar is Dr. Mengele wannabe advocate of population control (believes that public drinking water should be laced with chemicals that would sterilize people)
Valerie Jarrett – Iranian-born senior adviser was crony lawyer for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley; served as President/CEO of the Habitat Company (which boasted an extensive slum lord record), served as Michelle Obama’s sugar mommy for her job with a hospital where she helped create with Axelrod a “patient-dumping-of-the-poor” program and recruited self-avowed communist Van Jones to be part of Obama’s inner circle; close personal friend Marilyn Katz provided “security” for Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and founded the Reproductive Rights National Network
Kevin Jennings – safe schools czar is a gay activist who founded a group devoted to introducing the topic of homosexuality into every American classroom and spoke highly of a pervert on the cover of a NAMBLA newsletter
Van Jones – former green jobs czar is an avowed Communist who signed a petition supporting the “9/11 truther” movement; supported cop-killer Mumia abu-Jamal; accused “white polluters” of “steering poison into the people of color communities” and has pet issue allowing inmates to work outside prison walls for non-profit organizations (convicts can be part of Obama’s volunteerism agenda)
Harold Koh – legal adviser in State Department favors global governance rather than constitutional sovereignty and supports the introduction of sharia law into the U.S.
Mark Lloyd – FCC diversity czar, fixated on silencing conservative talk radio, spoke glowingly of Venezuelan dictator/leftist thug Hugo Chavez taking over his nation’s media and wants to regulate programming while redistributing private profits
Janet Napolitano – Secretary of Homeland Security distributed a ridiculous report “that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities” and went overboard in her comments about protecting Muslims (rather than U.S. troops) in the aftermath of the Fort Hood massacre
Kathleen Sebelius – Health & Human Services Secretary has never fully explained how much campaign contribution money she took in Kansas from late-term abortionist “Tiller the Baby Killer”
Yosi Sergant – former NEA communications director crossed ethical lines by enlisting artists to work on behalf of specific Obama initiatives via coordinated propaganda efforts
Larry Summers – chief economics adviser was forced to resign in 2006 as president of Harvard University concerning comments viewed as demeaning to women
Cass Sunstein – regulatory czar believes that hunting should be banned, animals should have the right to sue people and organs should be taken from dead humans unless they expressly stated they did not wish to donate them; totalitarian screwball believes in the Fairness Doctrine

McCaskill you might want to start cleaning off your desk you will be leaving washington . I am one voter who will not vote for you .You don’t care about the missouri voters. Come election time there will be a major turn around.

She definitely ticked off people who voted for the President’s agenda by trying to placate the Sedona Sams, the Gretchens,the Airballs, etc. who’d never vote for her under any circumstances.
