Calloway was arrested after grabbing a check book at the Northeast fire district

My colleague Elizabethe Holland reports:

Several hours following his arrest Sunday by the Beverly Hills police on a charge of second-degree robbery, Missouri state Rep. Don Calloway Jr., D-Bel Nor, issued this statement:

This evening I was arrested by police cronies of the corrupt Northeast Ambulance and Fire Protection District for my continuing to take action against the District’s theft of taxpayer funds. I did nothing wrong. It is my duty to stand up for the interests of my constituents, and I plan to do so. The St. Louis County Circuit Courts, Attorney General, and State Auditor are each aware of the gross malfeasance that has taken place with the District, which Auditor Montee calls the ‘worst run governmental entity’ she has ever seen. I have faith that Missouri’s justice system will deal with the ridiculous charges against me. The citizens of the 71st District will not stand for any form of public corruption in our community.

Calloway was accused of robbery after grabbing a checkbook in the Northeast fire district administration building so he could see which bank would be expected to provide $730,000 in severance checks written during a board meeting Sunday for Northeast attorneys Elbert Walton Jr., Bernard Edwards Jr. and fire Chief Joseph L. Washington. Calloway told the Post-Dispatch he wanted the bank’s name so he could ask that a judge freeze the funds before the checks are cashed.

In addition to the $730,000, the settlement agreements approved by two members of the three-member board Sunday allow Walton and Edwards an unspecified amount in legal fees.

See the Post-Dispatch story here.

I wonder when is the race card going to be played? I have a question will the Missouri state Rep. Don Calloway Jr be charged with a hate crime along with the second degree robbery? My reason is this He directed this transgression on a black man. Although he himself is African American he’s part of a white dominated governmental body therefore his action are not of a True BLACKMAN, CAUSE WE ALL KNOW A BROTHER WOULDN’T DO THIS TO ANOTHER BROTHER.

Rhea Willis will be the only member on the board that will survive. She then will be voted by the newly appointed board to the chairmanship and receive a hefty pay raise and benefits like paid medical and personal cell phone. dumb as a box’s of rocks, I don’t think so.

“I wonder when is the race card going to be played?”

We don’t need to wonder any more. Your racist posting was the moment that race was injected into this discussion.

Now we know.

Try again Calloway. Montee called the Distric the “worst run government entity” and, yet, she didn’t have to resort to the tactics of a 3-year old who didn’t get his way.

The actions of the District are indefensible, but so were yours.

Dear Representative Calloway,

On behalf of the Libertarian voters of Normandy Township, we offer our thanks and appreciation for your outspoken defense of, and active support for, the residents and taxpayers of the Northeast Fire Protection District.

If the “leaders” of Northeast have distinguished themselves in any way, it is as de facto poster children for abuse, corruption and arrogance in the name of public service. Although we are empowered to speak only for Normandy Township’s Libertarians, we believe that the vast majority of your constituents will rightly consider themselves well-served by your efforts to restore accountability and integrity to a governmental entity clearly in urgent need of both.

Best regards,
Thomas L. Knapp — Committeman
Tamara A. Millay — Committeewoman
Normandy Township Libertarian Party

Thegoviskillingme shows his true colors and intellegence with his comments. This person must know Rhea Willis personally and is a friend or is rhea willis. A true blackman would not care if he is ” part of a white dominated governmental body” and would see he is changing the face of that governmental body. The district and its boardmembers are primarly african american. What are Mr. Calloway motives?? He is protecting the people and I admire him and his persistence and unwillingness to accept what is occuring. I wish we had more like him.

Lets set the record straight. I don’t know Ms Willis and never meet her.
what I state on the blog is my opinion. If you agree good, if you don’t I don’t care.

What I though Missouri state Rep. Don Calloway Jr did took lost of courage.
Today his radio interview 11/23/09 on the Charles Jaco KTRS was one of the few times truth was spoken about the subject of what is happening in that fire district. If you or anyone heard it, you could tell it surprised Jaco with candied talked about the racial aspect of the behavior of the board members the lawyers, he was risking going against what most liberals and the majority of African Americans want kept behind closed doors. If that type of behavior of that board were taking place today, and it might very well be happening with White at the helm, the screams of racism would deafening. So today the general public heard a conspiracy of black people to keep whites out of position that they are qualified for and hire less then African Americans.

Short opinion: Maybe the election of Obama is the start that black people need to understand they are free, but with that freedom comes responsibility.

Calloway is a hero, one of a very few people with the courage to stand up against the looting of this poor fire district. His stand against evil is on a par with Bill Clay’s stand fifty years ago. Indeed, he has proven himself more worthy of the congressional seat than Clay’s son, whose only qualification is his last name.

Amen Mr. Kasoff and He should run against Clay. I would back a black candidate that stood for truth instead of the same old I’m black, and whites are enslaving us.
